• Emergency care
• Mandated Pennsylvania state screenings (height, weight, BMI, vision, hearing, scoliosis) ADD LINK HERE
• Immunization compliance management
• Medication administration per physician’s orders
• Scheduling and assistance with school-administered dental and physical exams
• Health Counseling
• Referrals to physicians and appropriate agencies
• Services focusing on prevention, early intervention, and strengthening the ability of the students and families to thrive independently

When should I keep my child home?

Students should remain home if:

  • if they have a temperature of 100 in the morning
  • persistent vomiting
  • persistent diarrhea
  • rash with a fever
  • purulent discharge from the eye
  • live lice
  • Strep infection- until 24 hours after antibiotic treatment
  • Chicken pox (varicella)- until 6 days from appearance of the last vesicle or when all lesions are dried or crusted (whichever is first)
  • Impetigo- until 24 hours after treatment
  • Ring worm- return after treatment if covered
  • Asthma- when your child is having acute respiratory distress and the peak flow meter indicates deterioration
