Mrs. Sue Ann Augustine
Mrs. Augustine has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District in roles as a substitute for several years and then an Elementary Teacher for over thirty years. Mrs. Augustine is a kind and caring educator who establishes meaningful connections with her students and fosters enduring relationships. She consistently recognizes the strengths in all children and ensures they are aware of their value. Her consistently positive outlook significantly contributes to a supportive school environment.
Mrs. Michelle Group
Mrs. Group has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as a Teacher for thirty-five years. Mrs. Group has consistently been a dedicated and influential presence in the lives of her first-grade students. Additionally, she has demonstrated leadership within her first-grade team and the broader school community. Mrs. Group has undoubtedly made a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of many students.
Mrs. Kelly Hart
Mrs. Hart has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District in roles as a paraprofessional for over twenty years. Mrs. Hart has served an important role in the support of students with high-level needs. She is a team player and always willing to help others. Her work in the classroom has made a difference in the lives of students. Mrs. Hart is loyal to the district and an excellent communicator
Mrs. Marilyn Julius
Mrs. Julius has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as a teacher for twenty-one years and a total of twenty-seven years in education. Mrs. Julius has brought clarity and enthusiasm to math and supporting students in mastering challenging concepts. Her patient approach and commitment to teaching helped students build skills and confidence, leaving a lasting impact on our schools.
Mrs. Diane Najdek
Mrs. Najdek has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as a kindergarten aide for twenty-one years. Mrs. Najdek has consistently proven to be a reliable and dedicated member of the team, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the educators with whom she collaborates and providing proactive, appropriate support. Over the years, Mrs. Najdek has engaged in reading books, facilitating discussions, opening containers during lunchtime, guiding students to the correct buses, and offering reassuring and welcoming embraces to students in need.
Mrs. Naomi Searle
Mrs. Searle has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as a teacher for thirty-nine years. Mrs. Searle has been a dedicated English teacher who helped students grow as readers and writers. Her thoughtful lessons encouraged students to think critically and express themselves clearly, making a meaningful difference in their academic journey and our school community.
Mr. Christopher McNicholas
Mr. McNicholas has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as a Maintenance Technician for the past twenty-six years. Mr. McNicholas has worked to keep the district’s facilities in order, prioritizing safety and efficiency and serving in a vital role in the building and grounds department. He was responsible for a variety of important duties, including building maintenance and HVAC.
Mr. Benjamin Widder
Mr. Widder has served the staff and students of the South Middleton School District as the head athletic trainer for thirty-two years. Mr. Widder has spent his career supporting student athletes and coaches. From injury prevention to immediate safety responses, Mr. Widder has helped to maintain opportunities for student-athletes, lending to their personal care and incorporating his passion of sports medicine to educate others.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved and adopted that Board unanimously extends its deepest congratulations and appreciation to these retirees; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board is immensely proud of these retirees for their dedication and service; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board directs that this Resolution be posted to the District website for the benefit of all citizens of the South Middleton School District.
